PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cold storage body improved in the effectiveness of heat exchange with surrounding air and a showcase using the same. SOLUTION: The cold storage body 1 is constituted by filling a cold storage medium inside an exterior member 2. On the occasion, the exterior member 2 is provided beforehand with fins 3. The fins 3 are so provided that the flat surface parts thereof are in parallel to the direction of flow of the surrounding air shown by arrows.
