The invention concerns a rotary electric machine comprising at least a member (14) whereon is produced at least an electric winding (32) including at least an electric conductive element (34) wound do as to form a winding, and which is coated with at least a layer (36) of insulating material. The invention is characterised in that the coated conductive element (13) is coated with a connecting layer (72) which comprises at least a connecting material (73) enabling to interconnect two adjacent sections of the coated electrical conductive element (34). The invention also concerns a method for making a member (14) of a rotary electric machine, characterised in that a conductive element (34) is coated with a connecting layer (72) comprising at least a first connecting material (73) which is heated and solidified so as to interconnect the two adjacent sections of the conductive element (34).
