PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To peel paper which is thin and whose stiffness is low from an intermediate transfer body or a fixing member without causing paper jamming even though it is used as a recording medium in the image forming device of a simultaneous transfer/fixing system using a belt-like intermediate transfer body or a fixing device using a belt-like fixing member. SOLUTION: A toner image transferred from a photoreceptive drum 9 to the belt-like intermediate transfer body 1 is heated and dissolved, and is press- fixed on recording paper between a heating/pressing roll 2a and an opposed roll 2b, so that transfer and fixing are simultaneously performed. The recording paper is cooled while being stuck to the intermediate transfer body, and when it is bent and rolled along a peeling part roll 7 by large curvature, it is peeled by the stiffness of the recording paper. Then, the intermediate transfer body is cooled by an air-sending/cooling device 30 at a peeling position, so that it is wrinkled longitudinally by temperature distortion. Then, the wrinkles are also caused on the recording paper stuck, and the apparent stiffness of the recording paper is increased, so that it is easily peeled.
