PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thrown ball having a precise speed and position in the training of a ball game such as baseball, tennis or table tennis. SOLUTION: This throwing machine comprises an impeller having a flange 2 fixed to a shaft 4 rotatably journaled by a bearing 5, a spiral blade 1 fixed to the flange 2, and a flange 3 having a ball feed port 6 in the center and fixed to the spiral blade 1; a guide cover 12 having a throwing port 13 and set on the circumference of the impeller; a shutter 7 arranged on the ball route of the spiral blade 1; and a cam 8 for opening and closing the shutter 7.
