PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst having high activity and long life, low in the elution of metals and capable of performing the synthesis of a polymerizable compound such as (meth)acrylate with decreased polymerization and to provide an excellent manufacturing method of a carboxylate using the catalyst. SOLUTION: The catalyst for ester exchange reaction is prepared by carrying a metallic oligomer at least on one kind of carrier selected from calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide, magnesium oxide, a strong acidic ion exchange resin and a strong basic ion exchange resin. The catalyst for ester exchange reaction is used in the method for manufacturing the carboxylate by an ester exchange reaction of an aliphatic or aromatic carboxylate with alcohols. |
