[Also in Divisions B5 and B6] A decorative strip material comprises a single layer flexible support network having integrally formed means providing or supporting decorative elements. The support network may comprise a series of filaments formed from a plastics composition, and the decorative elements moulded integrally with the support, or alternatively mountings for the elements are moulded integrally with the support. The mountings may have glass or synthetic resin artificial gem stones or reflector devices embedded or moulded therein. As shown (Figs. 1, 2), ornamental stones 1 are embedded in settings 2 produced at the same time as the network filaments 3, 4. The ends of the filaments may be connected together in pairs to form eyelets 3<SP>1</SP> and 4<SP>1</SP>, which may be used to join strips together or for sewing on to a backing. Other modifications of the decorative strip are described.</p> |
