摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve tasks that the conventional decomposition technique for an organic chlorine compound is basically a batch type and hardly applicable to a small-sized incineration furnace having no temperature control system or the difficulty of temperature control. SOLUTION: A mixture of a multiple oxide composed of at least >=2 kinds of elements selected from the group VIIA or group VIII elements in the periodic table with one or more kinds of elements selected from the group IB or group IIB elements in the periodic table is used as the decomposition catalyst for the organic chlorine compound, which is suitable for the small-sized incineration furnace capable of dechlorinating the organic chlorine compound contained in a waste gas discharged from the incineration furnace and further capable of decomposing benzene ring, or the like, to convert it into water vapor and carbon dioxide.
