摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed control device capable of ensuring the stability of a vehicle in deceleration in both a high speed area and a low speed area and never giving an incompatible feeling to a driver. SOLUTION: This control device comprises a speed command value change quantity determination part 590 for calculating the speed command value change quantity from the deviation between the own speed and an intended speed; a lateral G speed correction quantity calculation part 580 for calculating the correction quantity from the lateral acceleration of the vehicle; a speed command value determination part 510 for subtracting the correction quantity from the value calculated from the intended speed value or own speed and the speed command value change quantity to calculate the speed command value; and a control means for controlling a drive system so that the own speed is the speed command value. The transverse G speed correction quantity calculation part sets the correction quantity according to the own speed so that the own speed is large, and the correction quantity is small. Since the natural frequency of vehicle response to steering is high in low-speed area and low in high- speed area, the change quantity of speed command value is increased in low-speed area to hasten the responsiveness to steering and reduced in high-speed area to delay it, whereby the stability can be ensured without giving any incompatible feeling.</p>
