PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fish-farming unit capable of making fry, especially the fry of fresh water fishes, grow larger in a short period, and capable of safely raising and farming the fry. SOLUTION: In this fish-farming unit, at least one kind of aquatic plant which exists in the water of the fish-farming unit and is selected from water- bloom, chlorella, phytoplankton, and algae is so controlled as to be contained in an amount of <=10μg/L converted to the amount of chlorophyll.
