PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card authenticity deciding system capable of deciding not only the authenticity of a card provided with a hologram image formed by a diffraction pattern on the surface thereof objectively and strictly but also the authenticity of the kind of the card highly accurately. SOLUTION: The card authenticity deciding system is provided with a device main body, equipped with optical systems 10, 20 for receiving the diffraction pattern image Q2' of laser measurement light flux Q1 projected against the hologram image 4 formed of the diffraction pattern 3 provided on the surface of the card 1, and a server, storing an allowable reference value for deciding the authenticity of the hologram image 4 based on the diffraction pattern Q2', while the system is characterized by an electric communication line, connecting the device main body to the server to decide the authenticity of the card by comparing a signal with respect to the diffraction pattern image Q2' with the allowable reference value stored in the server. |
