PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable radio communication equipment which urges a user to get off certainly at an alighting station, and to provide a radio communication method for the radio communication equipment. SOLUTION: Information transmitters 109a and 109b are previously placed at each station, and the portable radio communication equipment 100 receives place information from the information transmitters 109a and 109b in an incoming call control part 106. the number of stations to a target station set by a numerical configuration switch 101 is stored in a numerical setting storage part 104, and a counter function part 103 counts down the number of the stations to the target station set by the numerical configuration switch 101 with the control signal from the control part 102, whenever the incoming call control part 106 receives the place information 110 from the information transmitters 109a and 109b. When the counted value of the counter function part 103 comes to '0', a user report control part 107 reports to the user that the vehicle has arrived at the target station with emission of light or blink of light, mechanical vibration, or singing.
