PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a display device suitable for practical use by relatively moving a masking sheet and an information sheet with high accuracy and stability and at a minute pitch. SOLUTION: The display device 1 is provided with an information sheet 10 formed by sticking an electrode sheet to the information sheet, a masking electrode sheet 11 formed by sticking the electrode sheet to the masking sheet, an operation frame 13 for supporting both sheets 10, 11 to be movable relative to each other, a step motor 14 for driving the operation frame 13, and a control unit 4. The masking sheet includes a plurality of slits, and the information sheet includes a plurality of scanning lines composing a plurality of pieces of display information. The control unit 4 moves both sheets 10, 11 relative to each other by the step motor 14, and controls application of voltage to both electrode sheets to selectively generate repulsive force and attractive force between both sheets 10, 11 by an electrostatic interaction.
