PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electronic balance/weighing machine, capable of weighing after a suitable warm-up operation. SOLUTION: After power-on, a CPU2 reads the energizing time from a timer 3, reads the power-off time and temperature characteristic data of a load detector 5 from a memory 4, calculated the time required for warm-up operation, using a warm-up operation time calculating means 20, displays the lapsed time and the required time for the warm-up operation on a display 1, and reports that the weighing machine is in a weight display mode ready for weighing, after the warm-up operation ends.
