PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator with a large inner volume by reducing the size of an evaporator in a refrigerating chamber. SOLUTION: An evaporator 5 of a refrigerating chamber is a fin-tube evaporator constituted of a plurality of refrigerant tubes 22 and a plurality of plate fins 21 arranged parallel with each other. Since a distance P between the plate fins is set at most 3 mm, the evaporator 5 is improved in cooling capacity for cooling the refrigerating chamber to a prescribed temperature. Thus, the evaporator 5 can be downsized, and the inner volume of the refrigerating chamber can be increased.
