PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for using random walk in order to optimize the refresh of a web page oriented to a user and the scheduling of preparatory fetching. SOLUTION: The page preferential weight pref (u, v) of each web page vi is calculated first and then the object preferential weight pref (u, o, v) of each object o belonging to Ov is calculated. Then a random walk graph is generated, page gain gain (u, v) is calculated by detecting the steady state distribution (convergent vector) of the random walk graph and the object gain gain (u, v) of each object is calculated.
