The transport unit (1) for tetrahedral-shaped packages is used for accommodating several layers of such packages and has a polygonal-shaped base. Each package has an end edge placed parallel to an inner side of the transport unit. The packages in a specific layer are turned through a part of a revolution compared with those in the first layer.
