PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water treatment apparatus of which the cleaning treatment capacity is enhanced. SOLUTION: A water treatment apparatus includes ultraviolet lamps 5, a tank 3 in which the ultraviolet lamps 5 are arranged, a flow channel 9 of water 1 to be treated communicating with the bottom part of the tank 3 to allow water 1 to be treated to flow toward the tank 3 and ozone injection means 5, 7, 13 for injecting ozone in water 1 to be treated passing through the flow channel 9. The flow channel 9 of water 1 to be treated has a descending flow part 49 extending in an up and down direction to allow water 1 to be treated to flow down and ozone injection means 5, 7, 13 have an ozone injection pipe 13 for injecting ozone in the flow channel 9 and the end part 63 on the ozone discharging side of the ozone injection pipe 13 is opened to the upper part of the discending flow part 49 of the flow channel 9. Since the absorption of ozone is performed in both of the descending flow part 49 of the flow channel 9 and the tank 3, the dissolving amount of ozone in water to be treated can be increased and cleaning treatment capacity can be enhanced.
