PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantly reproduce video in response to a video reproduction request without affecting access time loss. SOLUTION: A recording and reproducing part 1 records and reproduces the file data of video material on/from a recording medium in a time-sharing manner. The file data reproduced from the part 1 is inputted to an outputting part 3 and the part 3 outputs it externally. A program searching memory part 4 temporarily stores the front part of the file data recorded on the recording medium of the part 1. A control part 50 reads the front part stored in the part 4 and outputs it when the read request of the file data is generated, also reproduces file data following the front part from the part 1, inputs it to the part 3 and outputs it from the part 3. |
