PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precision working method most suited for highly accurately correcting the shape of precision parts such as a complicatedly shaped mold or the like. SOLUTION: The minute unevenness on the surface of a mold is smoothly covered with a thin film made of glass converting material by coating the surface of the mold with glass converting liquid. After that, the resultant mold is sintered under the predetermined conditions. As a result, the surface of the mold is covered by a thin quartz glass film layer, resulting in improving the surface roughness of the mold.
