PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs at the time of manufacturing game devices in which the kinds of cash which can be accepted are different in the game device in which values for the game can be added or updated to a recording medium. SOLUTION: A card unit 50 is provided with a card processor 82 for reading the recorded information of an IC card where at least information for specifying the size of the values for the game usable for a game is recorded, a paper money processor 84 and a coin processor 87 for receiving the cash, identifying the received cash and judging authenticity and a value-for-game adding and updating means for performing the processing of adding and updating the size of the values for the game pertinent to the cash identified in the paper money processor and the coin processor to the size of the values for the game specified from the IC card. By selecting from the paper money processor and the coin processor capable of coping with the card unit, the constitution of the kind of the processor to be provided is changed.
