METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING DATA BETWEEN COMPACT BSCS USING ETHERNET

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting data between compact BSCs(Base Station Controllers) using the Ethernet is provided to decrease economic charge because a network interface unit with a high price is not used by performing a TCP/IP communication between the compact BSCs using the Ethernet and transmitting and receiving operating and maintenance data. CONSTITUTION: It is judged whether a function of a generated network interface unit is a function for processing a data transmission or a function for processing a data receipt(S12). If the function of the generated network interface unit is the function for processing the data receipt, a connection request message is received from the network interface unit and a response message is transmitted to the network interface unit(S13). A state of the network interface unit is converted into a connection state(S14). It is judged whether operating and maintenance data are received from the network interface unit(S15). If the operating and maintenance data are received from the network interface unit, the operating and maintenance data transmitted from the network interface unit are received through a TCP/IP communication using the Ethernet and the received operating and maintenance data are transmitted to a corresponding application block as a message type(S16). If the function of the generated network interface unit is the function for processing the data transmission, an operating and maintenance data transmission request message is received from an internal message queue in the first compact BSC(S17). It is judged whether the first compact BSC and the second compact BSC are connected(S18). If the first compact BSC and the second compact BSC are connected, control data are transmitted through the TCP/IP communication using the Ethernet and the operating and maintenance data are to the network interface unit in the second compact BSC through the TCP/IP communication using the Ethernet(S19).
