Conventional methods for collecting toner cartridges include a method using collecting trucks chartered by shops and makers, a method in which users carry them to shops, and a method in which users package them in collecting boxes and send the boxes. However any of the methods requires much trouble and high cost. According to the invention, when a user orders a commodity through the Internet, the user answers the question if the user uses the collection service stated in a setting box displayed on an order screen for order. A main server calculates the quantity of cartridges to be expected to be collected on the basis of the sent information written in the setting box and representing whether users use the collecting service and creates a collecting plan according to the calculated information.
