HEALD AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING REINFORCED FIBER FABRIC USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heald reducing a tensile change of a warp accompanied with a vertical motion of the heald for opening the warp and preventing the widened warp from converging when weaving a reinforced fiber fabric in a small weight and a method for producing the reinforced fiber fabric using the heald. SOLUTION: A mail 3 for inserting the warp 1 formed at the canter of the heald 2 is set so that the thickness t at the warp-inserting direction thereof is >1.1 mm. The contacting length of the warp 1 to the mail 3 is large, which enables to suppress the tensile change of the warp 1, to keep the widened state of the warp 1 and to weave the small-weight fabric when using the weaving machine equipped with the heald and weaving the reinforced fiber fabric by using the widened flat reinforced-fiber yarn.
