PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toothed belt, having high transmission force and improved service life by improving wear resistance. SOLUTION: This toothed belt A has a plurality of tooth parts 3, arranged at prescribed spaces along the longitudinal direction, and a back part 2 with cores 1 embedded. The surface of the tooth parts 3 is covered with tooth cloth 4. A rubber layer, constituting at least the tooth parts 3, is formed of rubber, comprising a polymer component with nitrile hydride rubber and unsaturated carboxylic acid type metal salt mixed in mass ratio of 60:40-40:60, and the tooth cloth 4 is impregnated and covered with a first adhesive component 13 to the rubber layer, so that the surface, back face and interior of the tooth cloth 4 are in a mutually communicated state. At least one kind of antifriction material selected from graphite and molybdenum disulfide is contained in the first adhesive component 13.
