PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pattern paper of colored fibers which are formed by mixed paper making, capable of making randomness and visually observable, having excellent design, to provide a method for producing the same and to obtain a counterfeit-proof paper, capable of preventing counterfeit by a color copying machine by prescribing the color tone of the colored fiber to be mixed for paper making, a fiber length and the number of fibers. SOLUTION: This pattern paper and this method for producing the pattern paper are characterized by comprising one or more kinds of colored fibers composed of cellulose fibers colored with a direct dye having 400-530 nm or 540-650 nm maximum absorption wavelength. This counterfeit-proof paper is characterized by comprising one or more kinds of the colored fibers composed of the cellulose fibers colored with the direct dye having 400-530 nm or 540-650 nm maximum absorption wavelength in the ratio 50-200 colored fibers based on 100 cm2.
