PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical contact material for an automotive alarm performing opening and closing operation at 270 to 600 Hz in which environmental resistance being the defect of a W based electrical contact for an automotive alarm used heretofore and both consumption resistance and transit resistance being the defects of an Ag-SnO2-In2O3-NiO based electrical contact are improved. SOLUTION: This electrical contact material is obtained by internally oxidizing an Ag-Zn-Cu alloy consisting of, by weight, 5 to 10% Zn and 0.01 to 3.00% Cu, and the balance Ag.
