The dashboard has a transverse carrier bar with covering having a design function. The carrying function of the bar and the design function are integrated in an integrated transverse bar (2). This is partially visible with its design surface (3) and without additional covering, from the vehicle interior. The integrated bar forms the lower part of the dashboard. This is connected to an upper formed dashboard part (8). The transverse bar has holders (4,5) for accessories.
