PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door for a vehicle capable of easily conducting an impact safety design and sufficiently ensuring an impact energy absorbing stroke in an occupant positioned part. SOLUTION: The door for a vehicle has a X-arm type regulator s for lifting and lowering drive a door glass 2, and a front sash 4 and a rear sash 5 for guiding the lifting and lowering the door glass 2. At least the rear end part of a sliding rail member 19 comprising the regulator 3 arranged extending in the longitudinal direction in the door glass 2 side is mounted on the backward lower end part within a pane surface of the door glass 2, the rear sash 5 is arranged in the backward side off a track passage of the door glass 2 in a side view, and the outer handle 33 is arranged in a position where a regulator composing member, the rear sash 5 and a door structure reinforcing member (7, 9, 10) are not lapped thereover at the top dead center position of the door glass 2 in the side view.
