PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a conventional problem that measured values of a torque of a driving plate interposed between an engine and a transmission differ from values at the time of actual running because of an increase in thick ness and weight of the driving plate. SOLUTION: This apparatus measures a torque at a rotor plate 1 having either one of the central part and the outer circumferential part connected to the input side and the other connected to the output side. A plurality of distortion-generating parts 7 for generating distortion are set at predetermined intervals in a circumferential direction of the outer circumference side of the rotor plate 1. A distortion sensor 9 is fitted to each of the distortion-generating parts 7 in the torque-measuring apparatus. The torque can be accurately measured by reducing effects by a stress in a thrust direction without increasing the thickness and the weight of the total rotor plate 1.
