PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a die for die casting, having erosion resistance to molten metal, good releasing property and long service life. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the die has a process, in which a ceramic film is coated to a par or the whole of at least the surface in contact with the molten metal, and a process, in which a treatment selected from at least one among an ion pouring, nitriding treatment, oxidizing treatment, carburizing treatment and boronizing treatment, is applied on the surface of the ceramic film to reform the above ceramic film into a ceramic film part having <=300 nm crystallized grain diameter on the surface at >=50% thereof.
