PURPOSE: A rotary mop driving device for a vacuum cleaner is provided to improve structure and to wipe a floor with a damp cloth by rotatably installing an additional mop. CONSTITUTION: A device for driving a rotary mop in a vacuum cleaner comprises a suction port assemblage(10) rotatably mounted on a lower end of a suction port body(12); a solid of revolution(30) supporting a mop; a driving switch(6) turning on/off the rotary mop driving device; a rotation driving unit(50) supplying driving force to rotate the solid of revolution; and a power supply unit(20) supplying an electric signal into the rotation driving unit according to the manipulation of the driving switch. The power supply unit is approached to the suction port assemblage. Moreover, the power supply unit arranges an additional space formed by a protect cover(18) to isolate from an air passage containing a suction port(16) on a connect pipe(7). The rotation-driving unit is composed of a rotation motor having a pair of rotation shafts and a power-transmitting unit(40) connected to both rotation shafts of the rotation motor.
