PURPOSE: Wet electro-photographic device and method for color picture formation are provided to prevent displacement of a toner from a picture by keeping uniform strength of electric fields in each developing unit. CONSTITUTION: For restraining the increase of strength of electric fields in developing gaps(Gy,Gc,Gm,Gk) between a photosensitive medium and developing rollers, the developing rollers are installed while the conditional expression 'Gy is the same as Gc or less, Gc is the same as Gm or less, and Gm is the same as Gk or less' is satisfied. If uniform strength of electric fields is kept, wash-off of a toner is prevented. A color picture is formed by the following sequence. A photosensitive medium is electrified in a specific electric potential. Beam is projected to the photosensitive medium from plural beam projecting units installed in the color sequence of yellow, cyan, magenta and black to sequentially form electrostatic latent images corresponding to the colors. Yellow, cyan, magenta and black toners are developed on the electrostatic latent images via yellow(Y), cyan(C), magenta(M) and black(K) developing rollers. The toners are squeezed by squeezing rollers below the developing rollers. Down electric potential of the photosensitive medium is additively electrified by using an auxiliary electric charger. Additionally, wash-off of the toner to the developing roller for the other toner is restrained.
