Two types of gloves are disclosed with thermobonded seams that define fingers (22) and a thumb portion (12) that extends over the palm of the glove thus allowing free thumb rotation. The method for manufacturing gloves includes first forming thumb portion (12) by thermobonding one thermoplastic sheet for a first type of glove or thermobonding two thermoplastic sheets for a second type of glove into the shape of a thumb and second forming the remaining portion of gloves by thermobonding thumb portion (12) to another thermoplastic sheet for the first type of glove or thermobonding thumb portion to another thermoplastic sheet (78) for the second type of glove. |
