PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exhibit the correct guidance information of a recording medium to a user by obtaining the information without troubling the user. SOLUTION: When a batch retrieval is instructed by a management device 20, a CD changer player 1 takes out a disk from a housing part 2, sets the disk to a CD reproducing part 4, reads the management information of a read-in area and outputs the information to the management part 20 in the order from a CD 31 to a CD 3N, and the part 20 prepares retrieval key data from TOC information in inputted information to store them. When the preparation and storage of the retrieval key data are completed as to all CDs, the part 20 performs connection to the Internet 40 and thereafter it performs connection to a disk guidance information database server 50 to request the retrieval of disk guidance information corresponding to respective retrieval key data successively to the server 50 and stores replied disk guidance information. When retrieval is completed, the device cuts the connection with the Internet 40 and outputs the stored individual pieces of disk guidance information to the player 1 to make a memory 7 store the guidance information separately by CDs. When the player 1 reproduces a certain CD3n the player 1 reads out corresponding disk guidance information from the memory 7 to make a display part show them.
