PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply apparatus capable of increasing tolerance for decrease of a power supply voltage while guaranteeing a normal operation at a load side. SOLUTION: This power supply apparatus outputs a prescribed voltage from a power unit through a voltage follower comprising a plurality of transistors. The voltage follower is provided with a back-flow preventing function. One end of the voltage follower is connected to the power supply voltage, and a capacitor is connected to the other edge. This power unit is provided with a fixed voltage generating circuit for forming and outputting a fixed voltage from the voltage of the capacitor. A switch circuit is connected between the control electrode of any transistor other than that in the first level constituting the voltage follower and the power supply voltage. This power unit is provided with a voltage decrease detecting circuit for detecting the decrease of the voltage of the capacitor to a prescribed value or less and for turning on the switch circuit according to the detected output.
