The protection circuit has a supply voltage detector (1) providing a detection signal (D1) before the switched in supply voltage reaches the required voltage level, used for controlling a flip-flop (2) blocking the signal lines (S1,S2,SN) for the IC (A,B) and a second voltage detector (3) providing a second detection signal (D2) for the flip-flop when the supply voltage reaches a stable required voltage level, for releasing the signal lines. The flip-flop output signal is used for controlling transfer gates (T1,T2,TN) inserted in the IC signal lines used for coupling successive logic/analogue stages of the IC.
