<p>A treatment tank for a water conditioning apparatus has a tank head (14) with a wall (18), a rim (20) defining a through hole (22) in the wall and a tank ring (24) fixed to the rim. The tank ring (24) is coaxial with the tank head and extends generally axially. The tank also has a generally cylindrical flange (40) defining a nipple portion (42) with a peripheral wall (44) that has a lower edge (52). The flange (40) also has a shoulder (48) extending radially from the nipple portion with a top surface (50) and an outer peripheral wall (54) extending downward from the top surface. A fastener assembly (66) is engageable on the top surface (50) of the shoulder (48) for securing the flange (40) on the tank head (14) through contact between the fastener assembly and the tank ring.</p> |
