Device comprises two parts: a handpiece (102) and a rigid puncture shaft (103) with an optical window and inner diffuser element. The handpiece and shaft are detachably joined together using either a press-fit or locking connection, so that the puncture shaft can be exchanged at any point in time. The puncture shaft serves both to puncture the tissue and transmit the light into the tissue.
