The packing includes a base section(12) and cross flaps(54,56) upon which are formed transverse walls(66,76) with a height adjustable by fold lines. The cross flaps are glued to the base section. One cross flap has a number of parallel equally spaced apart fold lines(68). The fold lines extend over the whole width of the cross flap, and are parallel to a bottom portion of the base section. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for packing a product in which cross flaps and side flaps are prefolded at least in relation to a side facing a base section, and in which the cross flaps are folded over the product.
