PURPOSE: A process for preparing a digestive containing limited diastase by extracting stems and leaves of a radish under reduced pressure and removing a viscous liquid from the extract is provided. Whereby the natural digestive harmless to the human body can be obtained at low cost. CONSTITUTION: Stems and leaves of a radish are dipped in water, added with 1 to 2% vinegar having an acetic acid content of 10% for 10 to 15min, dried and extracted at 80 to 100deg.C for 3 to 4hr under reduced pressure to remove vitamin B1, vitamin B2 and vitamin C. The above procedure is continued repeatedly until the extract contains 40 to 60% by weight of diastase. And a viscous liquid is removed from the extract through conventional chemical treatment.
