PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup-shaped vessel which is so versatile in sealability that sealing can be made between the periphery at the mouth of a trunk part of the vessel and a lid member, even though steps are existent at an overlapping part where the edges at the mouth of the trunk part are overlapped. SOLUTION: A notch pattern 13 comprising at least one or more of incisions (a) running approximately in parallel with one another in the circumferential direction is provided at a position close to the edge at the upper end of a trunk paper 11, a pasting part 14 for trunk is formed with the edge on one side having the notch pattern overlapped on the edge on the other side, the lower end of the trunk paper is joined to a bottom paper 12 while a mouth edge 15 is formed with an outward curling made at the upper end of the trunk paper, and the notch pattern 13 is positioned at the upper side of the mouth edge.
