PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which conventional harvesting forces to do hard work, because sugarcane (having 2-2.5 m length) arranged in rows so that the weight of one bundle becomes about 25-30 kg is bundled in two places and sugarcane is carried on one's shoulder every one bundle and carried to road side when sugarcane is repeatedly harvested every three month sugar- making period. SOLUTION: This binding device using a rubber band and rope is devised in order to give a simple and ready harvesting method capable of saving labor without binding. The rubber band serves as a material for fastening sugarcane in order to shorten bundling time and carry out release from hard labor. The rope plays two roles, namely a role for controlling stretching of the rubber band and preventing cutting of the rubber band when the rubber band is caught in sugarcane and it is difficult to remove the rubber band when the bundling device is removed at the stage where sugarcane is carried and piled up and a role for serving as cushion and making the rubber band durable by interposing the rope, because single use of only rubber band causes breakage of rubber band when the rubber band is fixed with a clasp.
