PURPOSE: An e-commerce method and apparatus is provided to offer e-commerce web page forms containing an encrypted and encoded string with basic information about a product for sale on the web page, to enable a user to select optional product data e.g. a size or a colour. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises steps of generating encrypted encoded data(1001), formatting the encrypted encoded data into a web page containing codes to generate web page devices, e.g., GUI devices for accepting user input(1005), loading the web page onto the first server, e.g. a store front server in the case of online shopping application(1010), sending the web page to a user(1015), enabling the user to interpret the web page and to generate GUI devices based on the web page code for accepting user input and accepting a submission directive(1020), accepting the user inputs via a user computer based on the devices generated(1025), accepting a user submission directive(1030), sending the encrypted encoded data and the data based on the user inputs to a server(1035, 1040), parsing the sent data to separate the user input data from the encrypted encoded data(1050, 1055, 1060), decrypting the encrypted encoded data according to a decryption algorithm(1065), and receiving the decrypted and the user input data for order processing(1070). |
