PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator which can discharge only liquid surely from a tank in which a solid-liquid mixture comprising the liquid and a solid portion existing in the liquid as floating substances and/or precipitated substances are housed. SOLUTION: The tank 3 in which the solid-liquid mixture 7 comprising the liquid 8 and the solid portion existing in the liquid as the floating substances 9 and/or the precipitated substances 10 is provided, a solid-liquid separation wall 17 which allows the passage of the liquid and rejects the passage of the solid portion is installed in the tank 3 to cover, or approximately to cover, the whole length in the depth direction of the mixture 7 in the tank 3, and the liquid 8 which passed through the wall 17 is discharged outside the tank 3.
