PURPOSE: A plasma display panel is provided to allow product check procedure to be easily performed by arranging a checking window at a predetermined portion of the plasma display panel. CONSTITUTION: A plasma display panel comprises an upper plate(1) having the first upper plate electrode(2) and the second upper plate electrode(3); and a lower plate(6) having a lower plate electrode(8), a fluorescent layer and a barrier rib. A discharge area functioning as a checking window(21) is formed by extending the second upper plate electrode with respect to the area where only the first upper plate electrode exists from among the area excluding effective screen of the plasma display panel. Alternatively, discharge area is formed by extending the first upper plate electrode with respect to the area where only the second upper plate electrode exists. The lower plate corresponding to the discharge area has a fluorescent layer.
