PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject fabric of long service life capable of improving paper stock smoothness, paper stock supportability and joint strength, and having good dewatering tendency as well. SOLUTION: This fabric 1A is composed of wefts vertically disposed in four layers comprising 10 1st-layer wefts 21, 10 1st-layer auxiliary wefts 211 woven in between the respectively adjoining 1st-layer wefts, 10 2nd-layer wefts 22, 5 3rd-layer wefts 23, 5 4th-layer wefts 24 and single-layer warps 3 interweaving all of the above wefts; the single warp/quadruple weft structure of this fabric is such that the comprehensive construction is given by the aid of the 10 warps 3, the papermaking face side represents a dense construction, while the running face side coarse construction, and the 3rd-layer wefts 23 are disposed in a slightly longitudinally shifted manner from just under the 2nd-layer wefts 22, and the 4th-layer wefts 24 have long crimps equivalent to nine warps projectedly on the running face side, while the 1st-layer wefts 21 have crimps equivalent to six warps projectedly on the papermaking face side.
