PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a refrigerant compressor having a displacement type oil pump preventing decreasing of a supply amount of oil even when an oil level exists in a strainer part by an inflow of refrigerant gas in a shell, to cool refrigerating machine oil accumulated in the shell, generate high viscosity, decrease the amount of oil, and lower down the oil level. SOLUTION: This refrigerant compressor, comprising an oil pipe provided in a displacement type oil pump to serve as a suction path for refrigerating machine oil, a bulk-shaped strainer provided in the periphery including a suction port of the oil pipe in the vicinity of the displacement type oil pump, and an outer cylinder provided in an external periphery of the strainer to be made adhesion to the displacement type oil pump to be extended to a height of the suction port of the oil pipe, is constituted by suppressing suction of refrigerant gas from an upper part of the strainer by the displacement type oil pump even when a level of the refrigerating machine oil exists in a strainer part by decreasing in the amount of the refrigerating machine oil.
