SOLUTION: When filing system managing information 109, stored in a server 102, is changed by a request from one of clients, a server file managing mechanism 108 generates a file change event. An event-transmitting control mechanism 107 transmits the generated file change event to a client 101. In the client 101, an event-receiving control mechanism 105 receives the file change event. On the basis of the received file change event, a client file managing mechanism 104 updates file list managing information 106.
