<p>The read/write rate of a conventional hard disk apparatus is lowered when an alternation processing is carried out. A hard disk apparatus of the invention comprising an HDD (10) for recording AV data on a hard disk and stream control means (8) connected to the HDD (10) and used to signal-processing AV data sent from IEEE1294I/F (7) or AV data sent to the IEEE1394I/F (7) so as to record and/or reproduce the AV data, characterized in that if the transfer of an AV data disk access unit, a minimum unit at which the hard disk is continuously accessed, is not normally ended, an alternation processing of a disk access unit takes place whereby the entire disk access unit is replaced with another disk access unit.</p> |
