PURPOSE: A WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) card having a smart card is provided to improve a convenience and a stability of an Internet service using the WLAN by easily performing an access authentication for an Internet user and various accountings according to use the Internet. CONSTITUTION: An antenna(AN) transceives RF(Radio Frequency) signal. An RF unit(110) receives and processes the RF signal from an access point, and transmits and processes data transmitted from a user terminal to the access point. An amplifier(111) amplifies the RF signal. An RF/IF converter(112) is coupled to an oscillator(VCO), and performs a signal conversion between an RF signal and an IF(Intermediate Frequency) signal. An IF/BB converter(113) is coupled between the RF/IF converter(112) and a BB(Base Band) processor(120), and performs a signal conversion between IF signal and a BB signal. The BB processor(120) demodulates data received through the RF unit(110) and modulates data transmitted to the access point. A MAC(Medium Access Protocol) processor(130) processes a data link a MAC protocol between the access point and a computer. A smart card(510) is connected between the computer and the MAC processor(130), and processes to transmit a specific ID(IDentification) of the WLAN(500).
